Requirements

  • BA in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics or any other related field from a reputable University;
  • Professional qualification or current student towards professional qualification;
  • At least 3 years of previous work experience in a similar position ideally in Big4/Big10;
  • Familiarity with Income Tax and VAT;
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office (advanced Excel, queries), accounting software, and databases;
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills;
  • Strong strategic, problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work on cross-functional teams;
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Russian and other languages are considered as additional benefit);
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping, booking invoices and expenses, preparation of management accounts and financial statements as per IFRS;
  • Maintaining accounts of CySEC-regulated company;
  • Analysis and reconciliation of trading and brokerage statements;
  • Assistance with the creation of an internal accounting manual, and automation of existing processes in relation to accounting and internal controls;
  • Recommend and assist in the implementation of new or revised accounting systems, procedures, and records;
  • Participate in the preparation, evaluation, and maintenance of budgets and cash flow statements;
  • Liaise with various external and internal stakeholders (Banks, Auditors, Legal and Compliance);
  • Handle VAT and TAX issues;
  • Perform other accounting and finance, and ad-hoc tasks as requested.
