Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Be autonomous and motivated
  • Appreciate the skill of building automated solutions and scaling your impact via lean practices.
  • Care about business impact and prioritize projects, being pragmatic and business oriented.
  • To communicate nuanced ideas clearly, whether you're explaining technical decisions in writing or brainstorming in real time. In disagreements, you engage thoughtfully with other perspectives and compromise when needed.
  • Practical experience with GIT or other version control systems.
  • Practical experience with Jenkins/Github or other CI/CD platforms.
  • Proven ability to multitask, excellent decision-making, prioritization and organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all releases meet the required quality standards. 
  • Establish overall deployment & release coordination processes in an environment that gives teams complete autonomy.
  • Define and maintain a release calendar and schedule. Coordinate with teams to ensure timely completion of development, testing, and other pre-release activities.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all release-related communications. Ensure all relevant parties, including senior management, are informed about release plans, status, and any issues.
  • Develop and refine release management processes to ensure efficient and reliable software deployments.
  • You make use of tools and develop mechanisms so that the deployment and release is partly self-organized using a high degree of automation and pull-principles. 
  • Manage the release process between what is implemented in the PI and what is subsequently released incl. release communication.
  • Identify potential risks associated with releases and develop mitigation strategies. This might include rollback strategies or pre-release testing protocols.
  • Plan ahead the release dates & release cycles across a portfolio and improving the deployment and release process continuously in collaboration with Product.
  • You track the maturity of the continuous delivery pipeline ensuring the overall functional integration and delivery.
