System administrator / DevOps

We are looking to hire a talented and experienced System administrator. This is a hybrid role that includes both administration and deployment processes. Your primary role will be to support and improve the current infrastructure with the supervision of System Architecture. This includes improving the speed and quality of software releases while ensuring that the infrastructure is reliable, secure, and scalable

Requirements

Main requirements:

3-5 years of database, network administration, or system administration experience;
Proficiency in Linux system administration;
Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols;
Backup and disaster recovery: knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions;
Security: knowledge of security best practices and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption.

Would be a plus:

Knowledge of routing, switching, and DNS;
Ability to write scripts in Bash to automate tasks;
Deep knowledge of administration PHP based stack (nginx, PHP 8.1 fpm);
Deep knowledge administration PostgreSQL database;
Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows;
Agile: Knowledge of Agile methodologies and ability to work in an Agile environment;
Monitoring: experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, and PRTG;
Continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD): experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, and CircleCI to automate the building, testing, and deployment of software

Responsibilities

Installing and configuring servers: This includes setting up new servers, configuring them for specific roles (such as web servers, database servers, etc.), and maintaining the software and operating systems on those servers;
Automating the process of software delivery and infrastructure changes: This involves using tools and technologies to automate the provisioning, configuration, and repetitive tasks, improve efficiency and management of infrastructure, as well as use CI/CD tools to automate the building, testing, and deployment of software;
Managing and scaling cloud-based infrastructure;
Managing storage and backups: This includes setting up and maintaining backup systems to ensure that data is protected in case of failure;
Monitoring system performance: Monitor the performance of servers, networks, and applications and troubleshoot issues as they arise;
Managing security: Ensuring that the infrastructure is secure by implementing security best practices and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption;
Continuously monitoring and improving: Continuously monitor the performance and security of the infrastructure and identify and implement improvements to the processes and tools used.
